Old Hall Junior School Built in 1899
The Year 6 children are learning about life in Chesterfield from Victorian times, during World War 1 and World War 2 and up to the modern day. Mr Arnold kindly took the Year 6 pupils on a tour of our school to learn what it was like during Victorian Times. We learned about how there used to be a bell tower on the roof of school, saw where the gas lights used to be in each classroom, discovered the hatch which the chimney sweep used to go and that there even used to be another school where our playground and school field are. We will keep you updated on our learning about Chesterfield.
